One more time

So this will be my third attempt at blogging and boy do I have a lot to learn. I so need the book Blogging for Dummies! But I am not sure how much more information my brain can absorb at this point. So right now I am going to attempt to write a blog, add pictures and link up with a party. All in one night~crazy night!
If you have somehow made it to my little blog well then I did it right! WooHoo GO ME!

With this being my comeback of sorts I want to share with you some of my wood burning projects. I don't have step by step instructions or pictures to show you. But these are pictures of some of my finished projects.

These were made from scrap pieces of wood we had around. I sanded them and the burnt the edges all around. Then I found some different pictures of fruit and printed them out on card stock. After I printed them I let them sit for an hour or so to make sure the ink wouldn't smudge. I the used ModPodg to attach the picture to the block of wood, I used a popsicle stick very gently to keep the paper smooth and flat and to make sure there were no air bubbles. After I got the picture on the block I covered the entire thing with the ModPodg including the sides. Then I left it alone for a couple of hours and came back and did it again 3 more times. After I had about four or five coats on I put it to the side and left it to dry for 24 hours. Then I used 2 thumb tacks and some floral wire to make the little hanger on the back.

These pictures I found on Pinterest. I just love vintage signs!

These took a little more work. I found a coloring page of a grape vine that I printed out. Then I took a dull pencil and put the coloring page on top of the wood block and started tracing the outline of the grapes and leaves onto the wood. You have to be pretty firm when doing this, but it traces the picture into the wood for you. By the way I try to only use pine board, it is a lot softer and easier to burn with these types of projects. Once I finished tracing the image I heated up my wood pens and started burning. Then added the pictures and wala!!

This one I used my Cricut to cut out the letters to make a stencil. I love the little blue butterfly!

I hope that you will leave me a comment and let me know you found my blog!
THANKS!
